Vanessa Dalton has a diverse work experience in marketing and leadership roles. Vanessa is currently serving as the Vice President of Marketing at Rapid Legal, Inc. since February 2019. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Marketing Engagement at Mazda North American Operations from December 2017 to February 2019.

Before joining Mazda, Vanessa worked as the Senior Director of Marketing at FieldConnect, Inc. from February 2017 to December 2017. Vanessa was recruited by the company to assist in transitioning from on-premise software to cloud and SaaS solutions. Their responsibilities included managing marketing, branding, and go-to-market efforts to enhance brand awareness and generate leads.

From September 2012 to April 2016, Vanessa worked as the Vice President of Marketing at LegalConnect and Rapid Legal. In this role, they played a vital part in achieving aggressive revenue growth objectives within a limited budget. Vanessa led the marketing function and oversaw strategic positioning, branding, product launches, demand generation, and inbound/outbound marketing activities.

Before that, Vanessa served as the Director of Marketing at Arcata, LLC for a brief period in 2011. Their responsibilities included rebranding and relaunching the company as it transitioned to a software-as-a-service marketing solution provider.

Furthermore, Vanessa held the position of General Manager at SixLog Corporation, a subsidiary of Astro Pak Corporation, from February 2010 to October 2010. In this role, they developed business plans, collaborated on the future direction of the company, and oversaw sales and marketing with full P&L accountability.

Lastly, Vanessa's career began at Astro Pak Corporation, where they served as the Director of Marketing from April 2004 to February 2010. Vanessa played a key role in building and leading the company's first marketing department, contributing to the company's growth from $17MM to $26MM during their tenure. Their responsibilities included strategic planning, designing and executing promotions, branding, market research, and managing promotional events.

Vanessa Dalton has a diverse education history. In 2018, they attended the Yale School of Management and obtained a Certificate in Global Branding in a Digital Era. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2011, they pursued an MBA at the University of California, Irvine - The Paul Merage School of Business, specializing in Business Administration. Additionally, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Marketing and Management from the Portland State University - School of Business, which they completed from 2000 to 2003.

In terms of certifications, Vanessa obtained various credentials from HubSpot. In 2016, they obtained certifications in Content Marketing, Email Marketing, and Inbound Marketing.
