Ceara McCurdy

Ceara McCurdy has a diverse range of work experience. Ceara started their career as a Communications and Campaigns Officer at Disability Action, Belfast in September 2011. Ceara then worked as a Freelance Flash Developer at the Learning and Skills Development Agency from August 2011 to September 2011.

In November 2010, Ceara joined Headway Belfast (now called BIMNI) as a Communications Officer. Their responsibilities included web traffic growth, web design and development, external communications strategy, and social media management. Ceara worked at Headway Belfast until September 2011.

From 2012 to 2014, Ceara worked as a Web Experience Architect at iON Online Marketing. Ceara collaborated with various clients to develop digital strategies, create new websites, and provide marketing assistance. Ceara was also certified in Google Analytics and conducted competitor analysis and A/B and multivariate testing.

In 2014, Ceara joined CVS Caremark Corporation as a Senior UX Designer. Ceara was the lead designer for the Physician's Portal Exploration Product, where they worked closely with business stakeholders and the development team to build the initial version of the product. Their responsibilities included requirements creation and gathering, as well as collaboration with project management and product ownership teams. Ceara's tenure at CVS Caremark Corporation lasted until December 2015.

Most recently, Ceara worked at Rapid7, starting as a UX Designer II in January 2016. Ceara later advanced to the position of Senior UX Designer in February 2018 and is currently the Lead UX Designer since July 2022. In their role, they have been leading a new product initiative, collaborating with business stakeholders, development teams, and other members of the UX team. Ceara has been involved in design exploration, competitor analysis, and the creation of wireframes, information architecture, and user journeys.

Ceara McCurdy's education history begins in 2003 when they attended Down High School and obtained A levels in Art, Biology, and Geography. From 2005 to 2009, they attended the University of Dundee and earned a BSc in Interactive Media Design, focusing on Media, Computing, and Design. Following that, from 2009 to 2010, Ceara pursued an MDes degree in Service Design at the University of Dundee. In 2010-2011, they attended Queens University Belfast and obtained a Graduate Certificate in Organisation and Management. Additionally, in July 2012, Ceara McCurdy obtained a certification as a Google Analytics Qualified professional from Google.
