David Brookes-Smith

David Brookes-Smith has a diverse work experience with various roles in different companies. David is currently working as a Cloud Security Lead at Rapid7 since February 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Palo Alto Networks as a Sales Specialist for Prisma Cloud from July 2021 to February 2022.

Before joining Palo Alto Networks, David worked at Softcat plc for a significant period. David held multiple roles within the company, including NetSec Sales Specialist from July 2020 to June 2021, Specialist Sales Team Leader from August 2018 to July 2020, Senior Network and Security Specialist, Deputy Team Leader from August 2016 to August 2018, and Network and Security Specialist from July 2012 to August 2016.

David also has experience outside the IT field. David worked as an English Teacher at Objectivity Ltd from October 2011 to June 2012. Prior to that, they worked as an Online Property Assessor at Provita Property from May 2010 to June 2012, where they assessed over 50,000 properties for development potential.

David Brookes-Smith completed their A-levels in English Literature, Theatre Studies, Chemistry, and German from The Royal Latin School between 2002 and 2009. After that, they studied at the University of the West of England from 2009 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English Literature and Drama.
