Norman Heaney

Norman Heaney has extensive work experience in engineering management and software development. Norman began their career as a Placement Student at BT in 1997, where they worked until 1998. Norman then joined Openwave in 2007, initially as a Principal Software Engineer until 2009. Norman continued to work at Openwave as a Software Architect from 2008 until 2021. Following that, they joined Puppet as an Engineering Manager from 2019 until 2021. Norman then worked at Harness as an Engineering Manager from 2021 until 2023. Currently, they hold the position of Engineering Manager at Rapid7, where they started in June 2023.

Norman Heaney attended Ulster University from 1995 to 1999, where they earned a 2:1 degree in Computer Science. Norman has also obtained several certifications, including "Top 10 Rules for Highly Effective Leadership," "Cloud Architecture: Advanced Concepts," "Cloud Architecture: Design Decisions," "Learning Kubernetes," and "Programming Foundations: Secure Coding" from LinkedIn. These certifications were obtained in 2023.
