Vex Batchelder has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. They began their career at Vassar College, where they worked as a Computer Science Coach, assisting professors and providing support to students. They also served as a Drama Rigger, ensuring the safe handling and flight of scenery, as well as maintaining lighting fixtures and systems.
At Phoenix Tears Productions, Vex collaborated with a team on various theatrical productions, performing both onstage and backstage tasks such as foley work, costume design, scenic work, and stagehand duties.
They then joined Walt Disney World, where they initially worked as a Stage Technician, troubleshooting technical issues and assisting with the setup of lighting, audio, and projection equipment for special events. Later, they transitioned to the role of Entertainment Scheduler, where they coordinated schedules for technicians, implemented training plans, and provided technical support for proprietary software and Microsoft Office.
Currently, Vex is working at Rapid7 as a Service Operations Analyst & Resource Manager. In this role, they communicate and coordinate changes across multiple teams, troubleshoot client and management demands, and implement new software and practice standards.
Vex Batchelder completed a Certificate Program in Graphic Design at Wilmington University from 2019 to 2020. Prior to that, in the years 2011 to 2015, Vex attended Vassar College and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Drama. In addition to their formal education, Vex also obtained a CPR/AED Certification from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association in February 2015.
