Fuge Zou

Fuge Zou has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. They currently hold the position of Head of Data Science at RapidCanvas, where they lead a team in utilizing an enterprise-grade no-code platform for data practitioners to develop ML applications efficiently. Prior to this, Fuge worked as a Data Science Manager at the same company.

Fuge also served as a Data Science Lead at Energia, a startup focused on energy fintech. They were responsible for developing advanced machine learning and analytical algorithms, as well as working on the evaluation of multiple projects alongside financial and commercial teams.

Additionally, Fuge worked at Cougar Investment Fund, L.L.C. as a Senior Portfolio Manager and Equity Analyst, specializing in the information technology and software industry.

Before transitioning into the data science field, Fuge held various positions at Marathon Oil Corporation. They served as an Advanced Geologist and Data Scientist, Geologist, Development Geologist, and Exploration Geologist. In these roles, they worked on multiple exploration and development projects, including unconventional resources play evaluation, deepwater reservoir characterization, and seismic interpretation.

Fuge Zou completed a B.Sc. in Geology at Nanjing University from 2004 to 2008. They then pursued a Ph.D. in Geoscience at the University of Oklahoma from 2008 to 2015. More recently, Fuge Zou obtained an MBA in Business Administration and Management from the University of Houston, from 2019 to 2023. Additionally, Fuge Zou has earned an array of certifications in various fields, including AI Engineering, Generative AI, Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, and Cloud Computing, from institutions such as IBM, University of Pennsylvania, DeepLearning.AI, Google, Microsoft, and Amazon Web Services.
