David Harty

David Harty has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. David currently works at RapidFlight, LLC as a Senior Software Engineer. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of Software Engineering at Sagetech Avionics, Inc. from September 2021 to June 2022.

David also has extensive experience at Insitu Inc, where they held various roles. David served as a Lead Software Architect in the Advanced Development arm of Insitu, responsible for software development programs. David was involved in research and development projects with Technical Readiness Levels ranging from TRL 3 to TRL 6. David also worked as a Software Program Manager for the X-200 (ScanEagle) Program, overseeing the portfolio of software development projects.

Additionally, David was the Electronic Systems Hardware Development Manager at Insitu, leading the development of electronics hardware for Unmanned Aerial Systems. David was also an Engineering Project Manager, overseeing the development of avionics architecture for small UAVs.

Prior to joining Insitu, David worked at Lockheed Martin as a Software Engineer. David was part of the Engineering Leadership Development Program and was involved in projects such as the Common Training Instrumentation Architecture (CTIA), Ship Automation Systems (SAS), and Advanced Gunnery Trainer System (AGTS).

Throughout their career, David has demonstrated technical expertise, leadership skills, and a successful track record in software engineering and development.

David Harty completed their Bachelors of Science in Computer Engineering at Florida Atlantic University from 1996 to 2000. David then pursued a Masters of Software Engineering at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University from 2002 to 2004, specializing in Software Engineering.
