Ben Harvill

Ben Harvill has a diverse work experience spanning across multiple fields. Ben has recently been working as a DevOps Engineer at RapidSOS since 2020. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior DevOps Automation Engineer at Stelligent from August 2018 to January 2020, where they led the development effort in setting up a HashiCorp Vault server cluster for secrets management. Ben Harvill also worked at HBO as a Senior Software Developer from November 2017 to August 2018, where they implemented a Jenkins continuous delivery pipeline.

Before their time at HBO, they worked at Epic as a DevOps Engineer from January 2015 to November 2017, focusing on maintaining build scripts and transitioning the company to use a Jenkins CI server. Additionally, they worked as a Quality Assurance professional at Epic from March 2013 to January 2015, where they were responsible for testing the infrastructure of healthcare mobile apps and providing support to customers during initial launches.

Earlier in their career, Ben Harvill worked as a Foreign English Teacher at the Shenyang Institute of Engineering from September 2011 to May 2012, teaching English to engineering students. Ben also worked at Petroleum Trader Corporation as a Contract Sales Specialist from September 2010 to September 2011, where they analyzed government bids for fuels and created reports and spreadsheets.

Furthermore, Ben Harvill has experience working at Wabash College in various roles. Ben served as a Mathematics Tutor from August 2007 to May 2010, provided assistance as a Library Assistant from October 2006 to May 2010, and worked as a Research Assistant in loop theory from May 2009 to July 2009. During their time as a Research Assistant, they helped identify and classify new varieties of loops and co-authored a paper on the findings.

Ben Harvill attended Wabash College from 2006 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Mathematics. In 2008, they also spent a brief period of time at the University of Kent, although no degree or field of study is provided for that period. In addition to their formal education, Ben Harvill has obtained two certifications: AWS Certified Developer - Associate from Amazon Web Services in October 2018, and Certified Scrum Master from Scrum Alliance in April 2018.
