Carla H. has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Carla began their career as an HR Payroll and Event Coordinator at Secure Pharmacy Plus in 2003. Carla then worked at Bridgestone APM Company as an HR Supervisor, where they provided representation for the Human Resource department and assisted in explaining company policies and benefits to employees. Carla also performed recruiting and staffing functions for plant openings during their time at Bridgestone APM Company.
Carla then moved on to work at the Tennessee Valley Authority, starting as an Employee Relations Consultant II in 2012. Carla later became a Human Resources Generalist and subsequently a Senior HR Generalist. In these roles, they served as a human resources and subject matter expert for their assigned customer base, consulting in various HR initiatives and programs to enhance workforce strategies and improve efficiency, innovation, and competitiveness.
From 2017 to 2020, Carla worked as an HR Manager at CareZone, and then joined RAPP in 2021. At RAPP, they initially served as the Director of Regional Human Resources Lead, West & Central. In this role, they formulated people strategies and HR programs, and acted as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the leadership teams. Carla is currently working as the Vice President of Human Resources at RAPP.
Throughout their career, Carla has demonstrated expertise in talent management, employee engagement, coaching culture, workforce planning, staffing, leadership continuity, succession planning, performance management, compensation, learning and development, and labor relations.
Carla H. holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Human Resource Management from Strayer University. Carla also has a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Business Information Systems from Tennessee State University. In addition, Carla has obtained various certifications including Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in 2021, Certified 401(k) Plan Fiduciary from TPSU - The Plan Sponsor University in 2019, Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt from GoLeanSixSigma.com in 2015, SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) from SHRM in December 2015, and Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from HRCI in September 2008.
