Adrienne Barton

Adrienne Barton has a diverse work experience. In 2022, they were the Raptor University Manager at Raptor Technologies, LLC. In 2021, they were the Instructional Designer at Liongard, where they designed and implemented over 20 hours of learning content for corporate and customer-facing audiences over the course of Agile sprints. Adrienne also reduced new hire onboarding labor hours by 50% by creating accessible asynchronous content and collaborating with stakeholders to streamline processes. Additionally, they managed the corporate LMS (Thought industries) with a focus on digital content management, content engagement data reporting and analysis, and technical integrations support. In 2021, they were the Director at LAVNER CAMPS & PROGRAMS, INC, where they directed the first occurrence of Camp Tech Revolution at Rice University, establishing all camp routines, coordinating events and access with the Rice University Conferences Office, and managing a team of 22 instructors. In 2018, they were a Professional Tutor at Revolution Prep, where they managed a portfolio of 15-20 clients and their students, provided regular hours of virtual tutoring each week, and engaged with parents to keep them appraised of the process. In 2017, they were the Art Curriculum Designer and Instructor at KIPP Foundation, where they established the Visual Arts Program at KIPP: Prime College Prep, created an introductory art curriculum for 5th and 6th graders, founded the KIPP: Prime Artists Art Club, and organized the creation of the school's first student mural. In 2016, they were the Lead Artist at Painting and Pinot, where they instructed/assisted classes of four to forty-five customers in the creation of a two to three hour moderately difficult painting, managed the storage and use of various materials, maintained a stress-free and enjoyable atmosphere throughout potentially stressful classes, and created original artwork for use in future classes. In 2016, they were the Teacher Intern at LSU Holmes Program, where they completed 180 teaching hours (excluding observation and tutoring), participated in the classroom activities and held the hours of their mentor teacher, and designed and implemented a lesson plan. In 2014, they were the LSU Tutor at Louisiana School for the Visually Impaired, where they worked with students with a variety of levels of visual impairment in a range of subjects. In 2015, they were the Lead Desk Assistant at LSU Dept of Residential Life, where they oversaw a Home Desk and worked with the Resident Life Coordinator of the community to ensure that desk runs as smoothly as possible.

Adrienne Barton attained a Master's Degree in Secondary Education from Louisiana State University in 2017, having previously obtained a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature and Culture from the same institution in 2016. In June 2017, they were awarded a Teaching Certificate from the Louisiana Department of Education.
