Gray Hall has had a successful career in the technology industry, beginning with their role as a Financial Analyst at IBM Microelectronics in 1989. Gray then moved to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in 1991, where they worked in Technology Commercialization for the Defense Programs. In 1993, they returned to IBM as Business Development for the Watson Research Center. In 1996, they began working for Technology Management & Funding, LP as Vice President. In 1997, they moved to Broadband Venture Partners, LLC as Managing Director. In 2000, they co-founded VeriCenter, Inc. and served as Chief Executive Officer until the company was acquired by SunGard Data Systems in 2007. From 2008 to 2018, they worked for Fidelity Equity Partners LLC as an Operating Partner and for BuildGroup as a Managing Director and Operating Partner. Since 2020, they have been the Chief Executive Officer of Raptor Technologies, LLC, the leading provider of school safety software for K-12 schools.

Gray Hall received their M.B.A. from Texas McCombs School of Business in 1989 and their B.B.A. in Finance from Southern Methodist University - Cox School of Business in 1986.
