In September 2019, Selena Gomez launched her new beauty company RARE BEAUTY exclusively at Sephora. It was important to Selena to launch a company with meaning behind it. She says “being rare is about being comfortable with yourself. I’ve stopped trying to be perfect. I just want to be me. I think RARE BEAUTY can be more than a beauty brand, I want us all to stop comparing ourselves to each other and just start embracing our own uniqueness. You are not defined by a photo, a like or comment. RARE BEAUTY isn’t about how other people see you. It’s about how you see yourself.”

Selena Marie Gomez is an American singer, actress, and producer. Born and raised in Texas, Gomez began her career by appearing on the children's television series Barney & Friends. In her teens, she rose to prominence for her role as Alex Russo in the Emmy Award–winning Disney Channel television series Wizards of Waverly Place.
