Clementine Fortin Schouteden has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Clementine started their career as a Visiting Researcher at ENS Lyon in 2009 and later worked as a Boehringer Ingleheim PHD Fellow at MAX F. PERULTZ LABORITORIES from 2011 to 2013.
In 2014, they joined McKinsey & Company as a Junior Associate and was eventually promoted to Associate and then Engagement Manager. During their time at McKinsey, Clementine worked with over 20 businesses and organizations globally.
From 2018 to 2020, they served as the Executive Lead for Insights, Analytics, Food at the Ellen MacArthur Foundation. In this role, they led a global coalition of stakeholders in the food industry and played a key role in shaping the foundation's research agenda.
Clementine founded their own company, Kavee, in 2017. As Founder and CEO, they scaled Kavee into a leading global brand in the small pet niche industry. Clementine was responsible for strategic planning, business development, and project management across three regions.
In 2022, Clementine founded Fortin Group, a home for purpose-driven consumer brands. Clementine also founded Rare Birds, a UK clothing brand that caters to the needs of the neurodivergent community.
Currently, they are a Member of Helm (formerly The Supper Club) and The Ministry, further expanding their network and expertise. Clementine is also a Member of AllBright, an organization dedicated to supporting women in business.

Clementine Fortin Schouteden obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular Genetics from the University of Vienna, where they studied from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, they were an exchange student at Nanyang Technological University Singapore from 2008 to 2009, focusing on Biological Sciences and Bioengineering. Clementine also holds a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Biosciences & Biochemistry from INSA Lyon - Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon, which they completed from 2006 to 2009. In addition, they earned a Bachelor of Sciences in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry from Institut national des Sciences appliquées de Rouen from 2004 to 2006. Presently, Clementine is enrolled in various digital marketing courses at Foundr, including Instagram Domination, Advanced Email Marketing, and Start & Scale.
