Jeffrey Dietrich

Jeffrey Dietrich is the Founder and CEO of Rarebird, Inc., since April 2020, where the company is developing a unique caffeine replacement designed to enhance alertness without the jitters associated with traditional caffeine. Prior to this, Jeffrey co-founded Lygos in April 2011, serving as Chief Technology Officer and guiding the organization in its mission to provide bio-based alternatives to hazardous petroleum-derived chemicals, advancing from the incubator stage to commercial viability. Jeffrey's academic background includes a PhD in Bioengineering from the University of California, Berkeley (2005-2011) and a BS in Bioengineering from Rice University (2001-2005), during which time Jeffrey also conducted research as a graduate student at both UC Berkeley and the Joint BioEnergy Institute.
