Seun Sowemimo

Seun Sowemimo, MD, FACS, FASMBS is a board-certified, fellowship-trained general, laparoscopic, and bariatric surgeon with extensive experience in minimally invasive weight loss surgery and general surgical procedures. Currently serving as Medical Director at Prime Surgicare and holding similar leadership roles within CentraState Healthcare System and CentraState Fitness & Wellness Center, Dr. Sowemimo specializes in various bariatric surgeries, including gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy, and provides oversight to bariatric programs. Additional roles include partnership at Central Jersey Bariatrics and staff positions at Raritan Bay Medical Center and St. Mary's Hospital. Education includes an EMBA/MS in Healthcare Leadership from Cornell University, a fellowship from Yale School of Medicine, an MD from Columbia University, and an MBBS from the University of Lagos.
