John Cunliffe has extensive work experience in strategic business development and investment attraction. John currently works as the Strategic Business Development Director at Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) since February 2019. Prior to that, they were the Head of Asiapacific at Ernst and Young from April 2016 to February 2019. From August 2015 to February 2019, they served as the Head of Asiapacific at the Department for International Trade (DIT), where they managed a team responsible for developing sales proposals, landing inward investment opportunities, and generating new opportunities. Before joining DIT, they worked at PA Consulting Group as the Head of Emerging Markets from May 2014 to May 2015, where they generated investment opportunities in Latin America, Russia, Eastern Europe, and the Gulf. John also led the Enquiry Management Team at PA Consulting Group from June 2013 to May 2014, handling foreign direct investment enquiries and managing a national pipeline of high-value investment opportunities. Furthermore, John Cunliffe served as the Deputy Head of Inward Investment for China at the British Consulate General Shanghai from September 2012 to April 2013, where they headed the UK government's inward investment team in China. Prior to that, they worked as a Consultant and Senior Inward Investment Advisor at PA Consulting Group from May 2011 to September 2012, leading on investment handling and lead generation in key Asian markets. John'searlier experience includes working as the Head of Investment Services at NWDA-Northwest Regional Development Agency from June 1992 to May 2011, where they managed overseas office networks and led foreign direct investment efforts. John Cunliffe also worked as a Project Manager at INWARD from June 1994 to September 1998.
