Ramesh Subramanian has extensive work experience in various finance and leadership roles. Ramesh is currently an Advisory Board Member at Ideal Capital Management Consultants in Dubai. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Financial Officer for RAKEZ group at Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone, where they played a crucial role in transforming the finance and support functions and ensuring best-in-class governance and controls.
Before their role at RAKEZ, Ramesh was the Group Finance Director and CFO at Bahrain International Circuit, where they successfully restructured the business and achieved the best results ever within two years of implementation. Ramesh also led the transformation of the finance and support teams into a dynamic decision support group and developed future-facing business transformation programs.
In their previous experiences, Ramesh held roles such as Finance Director and CFO at Volex, Chief Financial Officer and Country General Manager at Ericsson, and Regional Head of Financial Planning and Analysis at FedEx. Ramesh was responsible for driving financial performance, leading business reviews, implementing governance frameworks, and developing analytical centers of excellence.
Ramesh began their career at Ernst & Young as a Senior Auditor. Ramesh holds a strong track record of delivering on P&L targets, driving digital transformation, implementing ERP solutions, and improving financial processes and controls.
Ramesh Subramanian has a diverse education background. In 1986-1990, they became a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, specializing in Finance and Commercial Subjects. Continuing their education, they completed an MBA in Business Administration from Annamalai University, India, from 1988 to 1990. In 2013-2014, Ramesh became a fellow member of the Association of International Accountants, UK, with a postgraduate diploma in Business Management. Ramesh has also been an active speaker and panel member in various leadership and finance forums, supporting initiatives related to creating a Fintech incubator in a voluntary capacity.
