Saravanakumar Marappan

Saravanakumar Marappan has a diverse work experience in the field of biotechnology, spanning over 25 years. saravanakumar started their career at Spic Science Foundation as a Senior Technician in 1994. saravanakumar then moved on to Sugarcane Breeding Institute (ICAR) as a Research Associate and later pursued their PhD, working as a PhD student at the same institute. After completing their PhD, Saravanakumar worked as an Assistant Professor at NGM College, Pollachi for a year before joining Rasi Seeds as a Scientist in the biotechnology division. saravanakumar gradually climbed up the ladder and held the positions of Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist at Rasi Seeds. Eventually, they became the Head of the Biotechnology division at RasiSeeds (P) Ltd in 2015. Following this, Saravanakumar enrolled in Barathiar University in 1999 and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Botany/Genetic engineering in sugarcane in 2004.
