Daniel Brierton's work experience begins in 2007 as a General Operative at TRUpour. In 2008, they worked as a Sales Assistant at The NetCafé. Then, in 2011, they completed a college work placement at Ericsson, where they designed and developed a web-based visualization tool and worked on a web framework. Daniel continued working at Ericsson from 2012 to 2016, initially as a Software Developer and then as a Senior Engineer. In 2016, they joined the Raspberry Pi Foundation as a Senior Software Engineer and later became the Software Engineering Manager in April 2020.

Daniel Brierton attended the Technology University of the Shannon, Athlone Campus from 2008 to 2012. Daniel earned a BSc in Software Design (Web Development) during this time. Their field of study included Software Development, Web Development, Requirements Engineering, Software Testing, and Software Quality. In addition, Daniel obtained the European Computer Driving License certification with Syllabus 4. No further information is available regarding the institution or the specific month and year of obtaining the certification.
