Laurie Smith

Laurie Smith has a strong background in non-profit and charity work, with extensive experience in leadership, strategy development, and operations. Laurie began their career as a Care Worker at Matrixcare in 2004. In 2006 and 2007, they completed two summer internships at Mott MacDonald, where they gained experience in project implementation and highways monitoring. Laurie then transitioned into the non-profit sector, working as a Charityworks Graduate Trainee at Together: Working for Wellbeing and Terrence Higgins Trust.

At Christian Aid, Laurie took on the role of Organisational Development Advisor and later became the Organisational Development & Performance Consultant. During their time there, they led the development of the Global Strategy 2012-2017 and implemented performance management and training systems.

In 2014, Laurie joined Family for Every Child as the Business Support Manager, where they led the establishment of new support functions, oversaw organizational transitions, and implemented cloud-based systems. Laurie later became Head of Strategy, leading the development of the Global Strategy 2017-20 and facilitating a major organizational transition and merger.

Laurie's most recent position was at the Raspberry Pi Foundation, where they served as the Director of Operations. Laurie provided dynamic leadership and oversaw strategic goals and business development.
