Mark Atterton

Mark Atterton currently serves as the Director of Operations at the Raspberry Pi Foundation since October 2025. Previously, Mark held various leadership roles, including Regional Director for Africa and Asia at Relief International, University Lecturer in Disaster Risk Reduction and Humanitarian Response at Coventry University, and Commercial Director at Reall. Other notable positions include Head of Programme Portfolio Oversight and Development at Oxfam, Country Director for Ethiopia at Oxfam International, and Director of Human Rights at Pacific Community-SPC. Mark's earlier experience encompasses roles at CAFOD and Cord, where significant responsibilities included overseeing regional programs in Southern Africa and leading Africa operations. Mark's educational background includes a Postgraduate Award in Business Administration from the University of Warwick, a Master of Science in Poverty Reduction and Development Management from the University of Birmingham, and a degree in Geography, Development Economics, and International Development from Coventry University.
