Jamie Willis has worked in the software engineering industry since 2007. In that time, they have held four positions. From 2007 to 2015, they worked as a Software Developer at INTECSEA, where they were responsible for the design, development, and support of in-house Windows desktop applications. From 2013 to 2015, they also held a Software Engineer position at Keysight Nemo Wireless Network Solutions, where they worked on Java front-end desktop application design and development. From 2015 to 2018, they worked as a Consultant Software Engineer at BT, where they built bespoke web applications using Java, Spring, and MySQL, and later Python, Django, and Postgres. Most recently, they held a Senior Software Engineer position at Ravelin Technology, where they worked on the company's Go (Golang) backend microservice architecture and ran applications at scale on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Jamie Willis graduated from the University of Surrey in 2015 with a Bachelor's Degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering. In 2020, they obtained a Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) certification from The Linux Foundation, and in November 2020 they were awarded a HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate certification from HashiCorp. In April 2022, they will receive a Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification from The Linux Foundation.
