Rob Baines has over 30 years of experience in the software engineering industry. Rob began their career in 1989 as a Senior Analyst Programmer for Seagram, where they were responsible for the design and development of UK and European Supply Chain systems and a pan European discounts module for Order Processing. In 2001, they moved to Oddbins as a JDE Technical Consultant and then to Land Securities as a Senior Analyst Programmer, Technical Architect, and Software Team Manager. Rob then held a similar position at TelerealTrillium. From 2009 to 2013, they were the Director of the Architecture Working Group at hibu, where they led a team of architects and senior developers and worked on SSO and enterprise RESTful API design and development. Rob then moved to Hailo as a Full Stack Software Engineer, developing highly available microservices for the Hailo platform. In 2015, they joined Yoyo Wallet as a Solutions Architect, architecting and developing the new yoyowallet mobile payments/loyalty platform. Finally, they have been a Technical Lead at Ravelin Technology since 2016.

Rob Baines received a HND in Computer Studies from the University of Bedfordshire in 1988-1989 and a BA in Business Administration from the University of Buckingham in 1992-1994.
