Joelle Florax is Of Counsel to the Firm in the Delaware office of Rawle & Henderson LLP. She concentrates her practice in the area of environmental, mass and toxic torts.
Joelle is admitted to practice in Delaware (1996) as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware (1997). She is a member of the Delaware State Bar Association and the Delaware Defense Group. Joelle served as a law clerk to the Honorable N. Maxson Terry, Jr., and the Honorable Henry du Pont Ridgley. She also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Richard R. Cooch.
Joelle received her Juris Doctor from the Widener University School of Law, cum laude, where her distinctions included Dean’s Honors List, Certificate of Achievement Recipient and American Jurisprudence Recipient. She was also a member of the legal honor society Phi Delta Phi, Harrington Inn Chapter.
Joelle received her B.A. in Radio, Television and Film with a minor in Criminal Justice from Temple University where she was on the Dean’s Honors List. Her experience includes serving as a Deputy Attorney General for the Delaware Department of Justice, where she successfully tried numerous cases prosecuting adult and juvenile felony and misdemeanor cases and assisting the police agencies in Delaware with all aspects of their investigations. Joelle also established an educational program for local police departments and educated officers regarding compliance with Delaware law.
