Georges Succar

Georges Succar has a diverse work experience in the field of data centers and MEP projects. Georges is currently serving as the Head of Data Centre Projects for West Africa at Raxio Data Centres since August 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Data Center Subject Matter Expert at the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu from September 2021 to July 2022.

Before joining the Royal Commission, Georges held the position of Data Center Area Operation Manager for the Middle East, Turkey, and North Africa at CAP France BAT SA. Georges was responsible for overseeing the operations in this region from February 2018 to June 2021.

Georges has also served as the Data Center and Critical Facilities Technical Director at Etisalat UAE from June 2015 to October 2018. Before that, they worked as the Data Centers MEP and ICT Design Manager at Edarat Group from June 2009 to May 2015.

Georges' early career involved working as an MEP Projects Manager at Kharafi National from April 2000 to March 2009. Georges was responsible for managing large MEP projects, including planning, organizing, directing, and controlling various aspects to ensure their successful completion within set budgets and timelines.

Georges Succar earned their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Engineering and Technology from States Technical University. Georges pursued further education at the same university and obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Georges has also obtained various certifications throughout their career. These include The Open Group Certified: TOGAF® 9 Certified from The Open Group in February 2022, IT Strategies from Cioindex in October 2017, Certified Data Centre Design Professional CDCDP™ from Capitoline Consulting, LLC in 2012, bicsi rccd from BICS GLOBAL in May 2017.

Georges has also pursued certifications such as ATD - Accredited Tier Designer, Certified Data Center Management Professional CDCMP™, TIA 942 Standards, and PMP- Project Management Professional from institutions like Uptime Institute, TIA Technology, and Project Management Institute.
