Donnie Savage has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Donnie began their career in 1981 at QMS, where they held roles such as Field Support Specialist and Senior Systems Engineer. At QMS, they were responsible for designing and developing PC-based software, micro-controller software, and hardware.

In 1995, Donnie joined Cisco as a Software Engineer/Technical Lead, where they focused on stabilizing Cisco's flagship code, EIGRP, and reducing customer issues. Donnie later became a Manager, leading a team of development engineers and testers and implementing code review procedures and automated testing.

During their time at Cisco, Donnie also held positions as a Technical Lead II in both Software Development and Routing TME. In these roles, they led the development of new architectures and solutions, working closely with customers and implementing features to maximize network availability and functionality.

In 2015, Donnie became a Manager Application Architecture, where they managed a team of 20 engineers and developed the Smart Software Licensing On-Prem server. Donnie focused on security and compliance requirements and worked on evolving the next generation licensing solution.

In 2019, Donnie became an Architect-Engineering at Cisco, leading the development of the next generation licensing solution, with a focus on flexible software consumption models. Donnie also joined Mac t-Sabhaois Farm in 2023 as a Farmer, specializing in sustainable agriculture in the Saxapahaw, N.C area.

Most recently, Donnie joined RAY · ALLEN, Inc. in 2023 as a Principal Engineer, where they continue to contribute their expertise in engineering and technology.
