Zach Hernandez

Zach Hernandez is a skilled transmission system operator currently working at Rayburn Electric Cooperative since February 2019, where responsibilities have included achieving NERC and ERCOT certifications. Prior to this role, Zach served in the US Navy from March 2014 to February 2019 as a Nuclear Instructor at Prototype, training students and sea-returning staff in nuclear operations and maintenance. Zach’s early career included serving as a Nuclear Electricians Mate. Educational qualifications include an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Biology from Navarro College, completed from 2010 to 2013, as well as graduation from the Nuclear Power School at the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command (NNPTC) in 2015.
