Subrata Saha is a seasoned professional in the denim industry, currently serving as General Manager at Raymond UCO Denim since December 2020, focusing on product integrity, quality management, sustainability, and operational controls. With 25 years of diverse experience, Subrata has previously held the role of General Manager Operations and Plant Head at NAHAR OSWAL DENIMS, where expertise in product development and production controls was highlighted. Prior experience includes serving as Vice President at Malwa Industries Limited, leading denim product development and lifecycle management, as well as various positions at Raymond Limited and Arvind Limited that emphasized product innovation and development. Subrata holds a B.Tech and PGDM from Calcutta University, Kolkata, specializing in textiles.

Raymond’s passion for denim started in 1996 with state-of-the-art denim fabric manufacturing facility, in collaboration with an Italian denim major. As global demand for quality denim was on a steady rise, to serve customers with a one-stop solution, denim garmenting division was founded in 2005. the following year, Raymond entered into a joint venture with Belgian denim major UCO NV with a vision to mark worldwide presence. Spread over 169 acres, the denim fabric manufacturing facility is strategically located in the heart of the cotton belt in India – city named Yavatmal. The garmenting unit is set in 14.5 acres of lush green land in the city named Bengaluru - one of the major garment manufacturing hub in India. With a manufacturing capacity of up to 44 Million meters per annum of denim fabric and 2.75 Million pieces per annum of denim garments, Raymond UCO today has turned out to be one of the most versatile, flexible and vertically integrated denim manufacturing facility in India.
