Guido X. Salas

Guido X. Salas has extensive work experience in various roles related to building envelope consulting and roofing. Guido X. began their career as an Air Traffic Controller in the United States Air Force from 1977 to 1981. In 1989, they founded Salas & Sons Roofing & Sheet Metal Inc., where they served as the President and Roofing Contractor until 2003. From 2003 to 2007, they worked as a Commercial Estimator at Tecta America Corp. In 2007, they became a Florida Consultant at Innovative Metals Company "IMETCO," specializing in metal roof systems for hurricane-enhanced design. From 2007 to 2014, they served as the President and Managing Partner of International Roof Consulting Services, providing roof consulting services and building envelope analysis. Guido X. then joined Intertek-PSI, Building Sciences Solutions in 2013 as a Senior Building Envelope Consultant and Principal Consultant until 2017. Following that, they worked as a Senior Building Envelope Consultant at Terracon Consultants Inc. from 2017 to 2019. Since 2019, they have held multiple roles as a Regional Vice President at Raymond.

Guido X. Salas has a diverse education history. Guido X. attended Redemptorist High from 1972 to 1976, where they obtained their high school diploma. Following this, from 1977 to 1982, they attended the United States Air Force Technical Training School to complete the Air Traffic Control Operator Course in the field of Air Traffic Control Operator.

In 1982, Guido X. Salas began their higher education journey at the University of New Orleans, where they studied but didn't obtain any specific degree or field of study.

In addition to their formal education, Guido X. Salas has obtained several certifications. In 2008, they obtained the Registered Roof Observer (RRO) certification from RCI, Inc. Furthermore, in 2019, they acquired the Registered Roof Consultant (RRC) certification from the same institution.

Regarding their business achievements, Guido X. Salas has obtained certifications and recognitions for their entrepreneurial endeavors. Guido X. is certified as a Small and Emerging Business Enterprise by the Department of Economic Development and as a Veteran Owned Business Enterprise by the Veterans Administration. Additionally, they hold the Disadvantage Business Enterprise certification from the Department of Transportation and is recognized as a Minority Owned Business Enterprise by the Office of Supplier Diversity. Guido X. has also certified as Certified-Active in Small Entrepreneurship through Louisiana Economic Development's Hudson and Veteran Initiative.
