Jorge Pereira

Jorge Pereira has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Jorge is currently the Head of Manufacturing & Operations at Rayner, a position they started in October 2022. Prior to this role, Jorge worked at Bohus BioTech Portugal from 2017 to 2022. Jorge initially served as the Diretor Executivo, managing the company's startup and leading the team responsible for it. During their tenure, the company achieved ISO 13485 Certification and maintained regulatory compliance. Jorge also worked as a Project Manager for Bohus Biotech, overseeing the construction of a new pharmaceutical and medical device facility.

Before their time at Bohus BioTech, Jorge held roles in local government. Jorge served as a Councillor at Câmara Municipal de Sousel from November 2016 to January 2017. Additionally, at Município de Sousel, they were the Head of Division from April 2015 to January 2017 and previously held the position of Geographer and GIS Manager from December 2010 to April 2015.

Jorge's work experience also includes being the Mayor's Chief of Staff at Câmara Municipal de Sousel from March 2013 to April 2015. Jorge started their career in education, working as a Teacher in Secondary Education at Ministério da Educação from September 2001 to November 2010.

Furthermore, Jorge has experience as a teacher and trainer in various organizations. Between 2004 and 2005, they worked in multiple roles for several educational institutions.

Jorge Pereira has a diverse education history in the fields of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and public administration. In 2018, they obtained a Master's Degree in Geographic Information Systems and Science from NOVA IMS Information Management School, specializing in Geographic Information Systems. In the same year, they also received a certification in Geospatial Intelligence from the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF).

Prior to their master's degree, Jorge completed a professional graduation program in GIS from Geopoint in 2011. Jorge also holds a Graduate degree in Urban Studies/Affairs from the University of Lisbon, which they received in 2004, and a Licentiate degree in Geography from the same university, obtained in 2002.

In addition to their academic achievements, Jorge has obtained several certifications related to quality management systems, machine operation, technical support, and various aspects of the medical device industry. These certifications include Quality Management Systems Development, Machine Operator Advanced, Machine Operator Essential, Technical Support Essential, Medical Device Post Market Surveillance, and more. These certifications were obtained between 2014 and 2021 from institutions such as Bohus BioTech Portugal, groninger & co. gmbh, and Key2Compliance\u00ae.

Furthermore, Jorge has acquired several technical skills through certifications in various software and tools related to GIS and geospatial analysis. These include certifications in Python scripting for geoprocessing workflows, building models for GIS analysis using ArcGIS, deriving rasters for terrain analysis using ArcGIS, editing in ArcGIS Desktop, Esri CityEngine Essentials, Python for Everyone, and Using Python in ArcGIS Desktop 10. These certifications were obtained between 2014 and 2017 from Esri, a leading provider of GIS software and solutions.
