John C.

John C. currently serves as Associate General Counsel for Real Estate Development at Rayonier, providing legal counsel for community development projects since April 2020. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Counsel and Associate Counsel at the Department of the Navy, managing complex real estate transactions and representing the Navy in the southeastern United States from April 2013 to April 2020. John’s background also includes serving as Counsel for Complex Transactions and Mergers & Acquisitions at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, where responsibilities involved resolving failed banks, and as an Attorney focused on real estate law at Pappas Metcalf Jenks & Miller, P.A. Earlier in career, John served as an Air Force Officer, achieving the rank of Captain while managing a substantial budget and overseeing a specialized team. Educational qualifications include a JD from the University of Florida - Fredric G. Levin College of Law, an MBA from the University of Florida - Warrington College of Business, and a BS in Political Science from the United States Air Force Academy.
