Angela Kay

Angela Kay has a diverse range of work experience in the field of clinical operations and research. Angela is currently the Director of Clinical Operations at RayzeBio, starting in August 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Denali Therapeutics from 2017 to 2022, holding various positions including Associate Director of Clinical Operations, Clinical Program Manager, Senior Clinical Trial Manager, and Clinical Trial Manager. Before their time at Denali Therapeutics, Angela worked at Acerta Pharma B.V. as a Clinical Trial Manager and Senior Clinical Research Associate from 2015 to 2017. At Acerta Pharma, they were responsible for managing start-up activities for global phase III trials and acted as the regional lead for EMEA and APAC. Angela's earlier experience includes roles at Onyx Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Bavarian Nordic, where they provided clinical trial support and managed trial master files. Angela also worked as a Research Associate at Bavarian Nordic, conducting immune monitoring assays for clinical trial samples. Angela began their career as a Research Assistant at Genentech, where they contributed to the development of a protein database and gained experience with various protein chemistry techniques.

Angela Kay received their Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics from UCLA, where they studied from 2007 to 2011. After a short break, they pursued further education and obtained a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) degree in Infectious Diseases and Vaccinology from the University of California, Berkeley, where they studied from 2013 to 2015.
