Charlotte Lorenz has a diverse work experience in various research and academic positions. Their most recent role is as a Scientist Data Analytics at RayzeBio since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at UC San Diego from 2020 to 2022, where they were responsible for routine data collection in imaging assays and implementing automated image processing. Before that, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at Forschungszentrum Jülich from 2019 to 2020 and a PHD Researcher from 2015 to 2019. Additionally, they worked as a Snowboard Instructor at RWTH Aachen University from 2015 to 2018. Charlotte also gained experience as a Diploma Student at Max Planck Institute of Biophysics in 2014, where they conducted research on a novel Channelrhodopsin protein. Charlotte Lorenz's early career includes roles as a Student Research Assistant at Universitätsklinikum Frankfurt am Main from 2010 to 2014, a Research Intern at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2013, a Research Intern at Max Planck Institute of Biophysics in 2013, and a Teaching Assistant/Research Intern at Goethe University from 2012 to 2013.

Charlotte Lorenz completed their education in a range of fields. Charlotte started by obtaining a Diplom degree in Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Pharmacology from Goethe University Frankfurt, which they pursued from 2009 to 2015. Later on, they attended RWTH Aachen University, where they earned a PhD in Physical Chemistry from 2015 to 2018. Additionally, in 2016, Charlotte attended a summer school at RWTH Aachen University, focusing on Physics. Charlotte also participated in a summer school program at Université Grenoble Alpes in 2017, specializing in Physics. From 2017 to 2020, they pursued a Basisprüfung (undergraduate program) in Medicine at RWTH Aachen University. Most recently, in 2022, Charlotte attended The Rady School of Management- Undergraduate Programs, where they completed a MicroMBA in Business Administration and Management, General.
