Matt Guest

Scientist, Radiopharmaceutical Development at RayzeBio

Matt Guest has a strong background in chemistry and research. Matt started their career as an NSERC Undergraduate Student Researcher at the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada, where they developed fluorescent proton sponge scaffolds for biological environments.

After that, they worked at Brock University as a Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant. As a Research Assistant, they focused on organic synthesis, physical chemistry, and bioanalytical processes. Matt also taught and lectured students on advanced organic and bioorganic chemistry topics and developed their lab skills. Matt took on additional roles as a Seminar Lecturer for various chemistry and science courses.

Following their time at Brock University, Matt joined Fusion Pharmaceuticals as a Research Associate. In this role, they worked on radiopharmaceutical research and development. Matt utilized synthetic organic chemistry, radiochemistry, and biochemistry to develop next-generation radiopharmaceuticals as precision medicines and diagnostics. Matt also took on the responsibility of managing safety inspections and implementing safety protocols as Co-Chair of the Joint Health and Safety Committee.

Currently, Matt is a Senior Associate Scientist at RayzeBio, where they continue their work in the field.

Matt Guest completed their education history as follows:

- From 2018 to 2020, they attended Brock University and earned a Master of Science degree in Organic Chemistry.

- From 2013 to 2017, they also attended Brock University and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry.

- Prior to that, from 2009 to 2012, they completed their high school education at Maxwell Heights Secondary School, obtaining a High School Diploma.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Matt Guest has also obtained the following certifications:

- In October 2021, they received a Joint Health and Safety Certification - Part 2 from the Workers Health & Safety Centre.

- In June 2021, they obtained a Joint Health and Safety Certification - Part 1 from the same institution.
