Raquel Aoki

Raquel Aoki is a Senior Machine Learning Researcher at Borealis AI since August 2022, previously holding the title of Machine Learning Researcher at the same company. Raquel has extensive experience in machine learning and statistical analysis across various roles, including a Research Intern at Google, where contributions were made to machine learning for causality research. At Simon Fraser University, responsibilities included serving as a Teaching and Research Assistant focused on pharmacogenomics and precision medicine. Earlier roles include Data Scientist at Hekima and Statistician at the Federal University of Minas Gerais. Raquel holds a PhD in Computer Science from Simon Fraser University and both a Master's and Bachelor's in Computer Science and Statistics, respectively, from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais.
