Sergio Herrera

Sergio Herrera currently serves as Managing Director and Head of Benelux for Global Investment Banking at RBC Capital Markets, focusing on M&A, capital structuring, and financial markets products for clients in the Benelux region since September 2025. Prior to this role, Sergio held the position of Managing Director at Rabobank, specializing in M&A and financial advisory in the Energy & Infrastructure sectors from May 2019 to August 2025. From January 2016 to April 2019, Sergio was Sector Head of Oil & Gas Corporate Finance/M&A at ING, providing strategic financial advisory in the industry. Sergio's extensive experience also includes roles at ING in structured finance and equity capital markets, and at Fortis Bank/MeesPierson, focusing on M&A and ECM transactions. Sergio holds a Drs degree in Business Administration for the Financial Sector from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
