Karl Theard

Karl Theard is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in managing investment and banking operations. Currently serving as Managing Director for Quebec & Atlantic at RBCx since June 2025, Karl previously worked as Managing Director at Roynat Capital from September 2023 to May 2025. Prior roles include Director of Technology Banking for Quebec at Silicon Valley Bank (September 2021 - September 2023) and Investment Manager in Venture Capital at Desjardins Capital (July 2018 - September 2021). Earlier experience includes positions at BDC as Senior Account Manager for both Mid Market and the Technologies Group, as well as Account Manager in the Technologies Group. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from HEC Montréal obtained in January 2010.
