R. Subramaniakumar is the Managing Director & CEO at RBL Bank. R. has over 20 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry.

R. started their career at India1 Payments Limited, where they served as the Non Executive Chairman for 2 years. R. was responsible for the white label ATM service provider, which was the largest ATM service provider in Rural and Semi Urban Area. R. oversaw more than 9000 ATMs that were operational.

In November 2019, they were appointed as the Administrator of DHFL by RBI. R. was responsible for the resolution of DHFL under IBC. R. was able to achieve a quarterly profit, cleaned up the book and balance sheet, and brought operational efficiency. R. also oversaw the collections and daily operations, which improved despite pandemic disruption. R. successfully completed the CIRP process within the IBC time line.

R. has also served on the board of several other companies, including India1 Payments Limited and DHFL. R. has a deep understanding of the banking and financial services industry, and is an expert in resolving complex issues.

R. Subramaniakumar has a CISM from ISACA USA, a CISA from ISACA, and a post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Computer Application from the Indian Institute of Bankers. R. also has a Bachelor of Science in Electronics & Physics from Madras Christian College.
