Sophie Bernier

Sophie Bernier is a skilled System Analyst at RBR, focusing on the development and testing of telemetry systems for oceanographic instruments since November 2022. Previously, as a Systems Engineering Analyst at General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada, Sophie developed network and GUI test tools for communication systems and conducted root-cause analysis on faults. As a Project Lead Developer at the University of Calgary, Sophie prototyped hardware and embedded C++ software for remote monitoring of offshore pH levels, creating an innovative wireless communication protocol. Experience as a Software Developer at Aurora Wireless Networks involved significant contributions to embedded software projects and extensive work with C code for wireless modem hardware. Additional experience includes testing power electronics at the University of Calgary and predictive modeling in AI during an internship at Mentis. Sophie holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Schulich School of Engineering at the University of Calgary.
