Amelia Kennedy

Amelia Kennedy serves as the Deputy Communications Director for the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press, a role they transitioned into after concluding their time as Communications Manager at the same organization from 2017 to 2020. With a diverse background in communications, Amelia has held several positions, including internships in the United States Senate and the Office of the Lieutenant Governor, as well as a role as Director of Marketing, Communications, and Public Relations at Wake Forest University School of Law from 2021 to 2022. Amelia is currently pursuing dual Bachelor’s degrees in Journalism and Mass Communication with a focus on Public Relations, and in Peace, War, and Defense at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, while also participating in the Capital Semester through The Fund for American Studies.
