Carolyne Clermont is an experienced Project Manager at RCS Global Group, overseeing Better Mining initiatives in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Madagascar. Prior roles include Senior Analyst and Analyst, focusing on risk identification and mitigation in artisanal mining and sustainability within international supply chains. Carolyne contributed to legal research and training in environmental law with IUCN and served as a Research Fellow for the U.N. Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights, assessing the impacts of extractive industries. Past experience encompasses consulting on social licenses in the Colombian Ministry of Mines and Energy, environmental crime analysis with INTERPOL, knowledge management for the UNDP in Cambodia, and legal shadowing at Bretton Woods Law. Carolyne holds multiple degrees in law, including an LL.M from Columbia University, with a specialized focus on human rights and environmental law.
