Dominic Keidel

Dominic Keidel is a Robust Design Expert at RD8 since April 2021, with a strong academic and professional background in mechanical engineering and aerospace. Previous experience includes serving as a research assistant at ETH Zürich from November 2015 to June 2020, where responsibilities encompassed collaboration on composite 3D printing, overseeing optical and mechanical testing, supervising numerous student theses, and contributing to the development of innovative structures, particularly in morphing wing concepts. Dominic has also worked as a project mentor for a multi-year student project on airborne wind energy and held engineering internships at Produkt Design Zurich and Helmut Schnurr GmbH, gaining valuable skills in product development and manufacturing processes. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Science, Master's, and Bachelor's degrees from ETH Zürich, complemented by a Master thesis at Delft University of Technology.
