Warren Knowles

Principal, Senior Building Science Specialist at RDH

Warren joined RDH when it was founded in 1997 and continues to play a key role in the evolution of the company.

Warren first realized the importance of integrating building science and façade engineering while working in a cold climate. It was evident to him that there was a need to make buildings more durable and energy efficient, which has led to research and development of new approaches to the design and implementation of buildings.

He enjoys working with building owners and other project team members to collaboratively determine creative, yet simple, solutions to help make their buildings better. His depth of knowledge of both RDH’s and industry partners’ services allows him to work with teams to better determine new solutions and achieve project success.

Warren has led projects that have gained industry recognition, including the Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia Sustainability Award. His influence on the industry has also previously included roles as the President of the BC Building Envelope Council and Director of the National Building Envelope Council. He is currently the chair of the Building Enclosure Advisory Committee for the Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia Building Enclosure Committee and a member of the Resilience Guidelines on Health Facility Design & Operations Task Force.
