Alen Yen has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Alen began their career as a Designer at the University of Michigan Museum of Art in 1989. Alen then worked as a Lead Visual Designer at Qualia Inc. from 1995 to 1997. In 1997, they founded their own company called Alen Yen Design, where they served as the Founder and Owner until 1999. From 1997 to 1999, they also worked as a Designer at Papyrus Design Group. In 1998, they founded ToyboxDX.com. In 1999, they joined IFACTORY as the President and Creative Director, and later became the President/Creative Director until 2004. Alen then became the Senior Vice President at RDW Group Inc., a division of IFactory, in 2004. In 2009, they founded incubot productions. In 2018, they joined Glen Urquhart School as a Trustee, and later became the President of the Board of Trustees in 2021. In 2020, they became the Managing Partner at Diventi LLC. Overall, Alen Yen has demonstrated a strong background in design, leadership, and entrepreneurship throughout their career.
Alen Yen's education history begins with attending Elisabeth Morrow School from 1981 to 1983. Following that, they enrolled in Horace Mann School from 1984 to 1989. Alen then pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Industrial Design and Metalsmithing at the University of Michigan from 1989 to 1993. After completing their undergraduate studies, they went on to earn a Master of Arts degree in Education from the Rhode Island School of Design between 1995 and 1997. In 2021 and 2022, Alen Yen joined the Quantic School of Business and Technology to pursue an Executive MBA. Their most recent educational achievement was obtaining certification as a UESCA Certified Running Coach from the United Endurance Sports Coaching Academy in 2023.
