After the Covid-19 pandemic and the #BLM protests in June 2020, many New York City businesses protected their storefronts with plywood barricades — material destined for landfill once its temporary job was done. Re-ply was founded to give this plywood a second life, transforming it into cost-effective, recycled outdoor dining structures and restaurant parklets for NYC restaurants, cafés, and bars.
