Erica Tucker

Senior Advisor For Equity & Racial Justice at REACH Community Development

Erica Tucker, MSW has over 12 years of experience in various roles related to social work, equity, and inclusion. Erica is currently the Chief People & Culture Officer at REACH Community Development, where they facilitate progress and collaboration on organization initiatives and supports a culture of accountability and belonging. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Equity and Inclusion at REACH, where they provided leadership and vision for organization-wide internal and external system changes. Erica also created the organization's first Employee Resource Group for BIPOC employees and facilitated workshops on race, equity, diversity, and inclusion. Erica has experience in supporting and coaching senior leaders and managers to advance DEI, as well as managing consultants and convening internal equity and inclusion committees. Erica has also worked as a resident services program manager, resident services coordinator, and clinical program assistant in various organizations. Additionally, Erica has served as a DEI facilitator at Stand for Children and as a poverty trainer/facilitator as an independent consultant. Erica has also been involved in facilitating conversations on important issues and ideas as a Conversation Project Leader at Oregon Humanities. Erica has a background in working with youth and has served as a youth advocate and school social worker in different organizations. Erica started their career as a psychiatric technician at Albertina Kerr Centers and as a youth violence prevention coordinator in the City of Seattle.

Erica Tucker received their Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Portland State University in 2009. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree at the University of Oregon in 2004. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in April 2023. Erica also holds a certification as a Certified Poverty Coach, which was obtained in 2014 from Communication Across Barriers.
