Kirsten Dougherty

Chief Executive Officer at ROCK Reach Out Centre for Kids

Kirsten Dougherty has extensive work experience in the non-profit sector. Kirsten started their career at The Children's Assessment and Treatment Centre in 1999 as a Business Development Officer and worked there until 2005. In 2005, they joined ROCK Reach Out Centre for Kids, where they held various roles, including Director of Foundation Operations and Director of People, Culture and Sustainability. In 2017, they became the Vice President of ROCK before transitioning to the role of Chief Executive Officer in 2020. Kirsten's expertise lies in building partnerships, managing operations, and leading teams in the non-profit industry.

Kirsten Dougherty has a diverse education history, with a focus on executive leadership and human resources. Kirsten attended the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management multiple times for various programs. In 2014, they completed a program in Strategic Business Leadership, and in 2016-2017, they attended the Public Sector Leadership Institute. Additionally, in 2021, they participated in a program called "The Coaching Habit."

Kirsten also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology, which they obtained from Western University between 1995 and 1999. More recently, they obtained the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation from York University in 2014.

Kirsten continued their executive leadership education in 2023 by enrolling in the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management once again. Kirsten pursued a program in Executive Leadership, and by July 2023, they obtained the Excellence in Executive Leadership Certificate from the institution. Additionally, they completed another executive leadership program called "Executive Leadership: Online" in April 2023.
