Matthew Porter

Matthew Porter is an experienced social media professional and journalist with a strong background in editorial roles. Currently serving as Deputy Group Head of Social Media at Reach plc, Matthew has also held the position of Acting Group Head of Social Media. Prior to this, Matthew worked as Senior Social Media Editor and Social Media Editor at the Daily Mirror. Matthew's earlier experience includes serving as Press Officer at Basildon Borough Council and various editorial positions at Newsquest, including News Editor, Chief Reporter, and Political Reporter. Matthew holds a B.A. in History from UCL, completed in 2010, and received journalism training from noSWeat Journalism Training between 2010 and 2011.
