Yara Silva

Yara Silva is an experienced media professional with a strong background in content and social media management. Currently serving as Head of Content at Reach plc since June 2019, Yara oversees all video and audio content for the newly launched Reach Studio. Previously, in the role of Group Head of Social Media, Yara managed a large department focused on audience growth and engagement. Yara has also held prominent positions at the Daily Mirror, MailOnline, and HELLO! Magazine, where significant achievements included leading social media strategies and enhancing brand presence. In addition to professional roles, Yara serves as a Visiting Lecturer at City, University of London, teaching courses on Digital and Social Journalism. Academic credentials include an MA in Magazine Journalism and a BSc in Sociology from the University of Southampton. Yara's work has been recognized with accolades such as the Social Media Team of the Year at the Drum Online Media Awards in 2023.
