Safnas F. AbdulSalam, Ph.D, is a seasoned professional in biochemistry with extensive experience in assay development and biochemical research. Currently serving as the Director of Assay Development at Reaction Biology since May 2019, Safnas has progressed through various roles, including Associate Director and Senior Research Scientist, while focusing on biochemical assays for high-throughput screening and enzyme characterization. Prior experience includes a postdoctoral fellowship at Indiana University School of Medicine, where contributions to small molecule glycogen synthase inhibitors targeted glycogen storage disorders. Graduate research at the University of Cincinnati centered on Reactive Oxygen Species and their selective toxicity in cancer cells, alongside a teaching assistantship in biochemistry labs. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Colombo.
